Emma Hicks (she/her) is originally from Buckhannon, WV. She graduated in December of 2023 from Davis and Elkins College, with a Bachelor Degree in Outdoor Recreation Management and a Minor in Child and Family Studies. Being from WV, the history of the people of Appalachia, and where the state has evolved from, is very important to her. She is very excited to learn more about the resources and outdoor recreation opportunities her great state has. Emma will be serving at the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve in Glen Jean, WV. During her service term at the Gorge, Emma will be working on a Trails and Rails Program that is in collaboration with Amtrak, where volunteers will have the opportunity to share their knowledge of the park, and the surrounding area. Outside of the work place, Emma enjoys traveling, thrifting, and finding new coffee shops to try!
