ildiko fox

Zion National Park

Fall 2024

Originally hailing from central Florida, ildiko has lived in Zion Canyon since 2021. In their time living here, ildiko has become deeply & joyfully integrated with Zion's local community - both socially and ecologically.
With background as a birth doula, ildiko holds a special passion for space-holding and advocacy. They believe that celebration is central, and loving service is a lifelong project... so, naturally, they could not be more stoked to take on this role as Zion's CVA!
Often found calf-deep in the Virgin River, with a journal and Pilot G-2 .05 in tow, ildiko takes a special liking for being out in the world: they love hiking, backpacking, and playing outside with their friends. They also love to get cozy at home, with their cats Junebug and Escalante (and, these days, a borrowed copy of Lord of the Rings).
Working with the park has been a dream of ildiko's as long as they've lived here. Getting to engage local friends and foster more excitement for this place they love truly feels like an honor. From here, ildiko is hoping to continue as a ranger with the NPS, to continue in service & celebration of these so-special places. Yay!
