Ryan Engelgau

Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway

Fall 2024

Ryan Engelgau, a CVA at the Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway (a 200-mile stretch of pristine water in Wisconsin and Minnesota), brings a unique perspective to his role. Originally from Florida, Ryan's life was shaped by the state's hot, humid climate. He earned his degree in Environmental Management from the University of West Florida, with minors in Maritime Studies and a certification in Geographic Information Systems.
Prior to his current position, Ryan served as an interpretive ranger at Gulf Islands National Seashore and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Eager to delve deeper into the management, logistics, and operations of the park service, Ryan is excited to learn about the behind-the-scenes work that makes these natural wonders accessible to the public.
